When it comes to giving feedback, I put myself in the shoes of the other person and think ‘how would I like this to be presented back to me’. Slandering someone else’s hard work isn’t good when it comes to giving feedback because it leaves the other person feeling disheartened. When reading scripts, and writing reader’s report for them, I give positive feedback first, and with regards to improvements, I give suggestions. I keep the tone positive and always end on a positive note too.

Communication is key when working in a group. Throughout university, the main source of communication for my group work has been WhatsApp as a simple but very effective way to stay in touch. A simple message to suggest an idea or something to be worked out has been great.

One of my ideas was for serial arc for our TV Drama project. I suggested that we have a threat of a monster within the cavern and this was universally liked and added to the storyline.

Communication is a great tool I have used effectively during my time at university to get my ideas across and support my friends and colleagues with their scripts.
