Why is the opening of Pixar's Up so emotionally effectively?

No dialogue. Emotional. Life from marriage, to own home, to holidays, to getting older, to decorating baby room, to baby possibly dying or unable to conceive (sadness), wife sat alone outside and husband looks at her from a distance, create a money jar for their adventure aim, car breaks, money jar payment, broken leg, money jar payment, house trouble, money jar payment, ties throughout the ages, older age, balloons sales man, dancing, adventure that never was, tickets for holiday, wife going up the hill but slowly and falls, wife is ill and old, adventure book, adventure never happens, wife has passed and husband is alone. It is sad because it relates to a life time of togetherness in a very short moment. I think it is a reflection of what couples (and us) could go through in our lifetimes. Being with someone and loving them, and then losing them. It works because it is relatable.

We like the man want to accomplish things in our life with our loved ones, but sometimes unexpected happenings get in the way.
