Hero to Villain: Richard Jewell

The main character - Richard Jewell - is set up as a hero to then very quickly be turned into a villain by the FBI while the real bomber is still at large.

The series then follows Richard's struggle as a 'small guy' versus 'big guys', an underdog story of sorts.

AFT Bomb Expert (Local): Earl Embry

The local AFT bomb expert who has been investigating over 5,000 bomb incidents is restricted at first to help the FBI.

The Director of the FBI is under pressure from the President of the United States.

Jack Brennan the Special Agent in charge of the investigation is pressured to make Richard Jewell seem like the person behind the bombing.

Character creates conflict

The characters all have divisions and have a purpose: the truth, but sometimes the truth is not as easy, as pressure creates conflict among the characters to choose the easy option.
